Hospital Facilities Maintenance Supervisor Position - 1st Shift

Vanguard Resources, Inc. - an Industry Leader in Facilities Management, (in business nearly 28 years), is actively recruiting for an experienced, Hospital Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, someone skilled in maintenance and has previous supervisory experience; preferably within a hospital environment.

This position is located at our current Client’s facility:

Valley Baptist Medical Center, 2101 Pease Street, Harlingen, Texas 78550.

Position Summary: The Hospital Facilities Maintenance Supervisor role, is an exempt/salaried position; a 'working-supervisor', will support hospital campus ensuring the maintenance team is operating safely and efficiently, remaining compliant, with direct support from local onsite Leadership.

  • Assists in planning, organizing, directing, training and supervising assigned activities of all facilities functions which are necessary in maintaining the physical structures, HVAC, mechanical, electrical systems, utility systems and grounds of the facility in an operative and safe working condition. Assists in administering and supervising the maintenance team
  • Ensures all compliance requirements are met for the team
  • Serves as a Safety Champion for site and department
  • Assist with work-order process; ensuring accuracy, timeliness and the greatest quality
  • Monitoring all applications to ensure maximum effectiveness and provides appropriate documentation of same.

Requirements:

  • Maintenance experience working in an acute-care Hospital setting is preferred; exposure to Regulatory Compliance is helpful to be successful in this position
  • 4 to 6 years' experience in this facilities/engineering/maintenance environment preferred. Must be proficient in two or more engineering trades (HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, central plant operations, refrigeration, carpentry, electronics, etc. or a Master or Licensed level of any trade) - preferred.
  • 1-2 years’ experience leading a maintenance team within hospital setting PREFERRED

radiation and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
